42-7 Victory over Miami RFC on 2/10

On 2/10 the club travelled to Bicentenial Park just of Miami Beach to defeat the Miami RFC 42-7. Scoring was as follows (to the best of my recollection): Six different Hammerheads were set free for tries by their mates with Brian W opening on an excellent 40 meter kick, chase, and grab off of a nicely timed bounce. Bryan Vince was then set free by #10 A. Marcus for a 15 meter try after he froze the opposing #10 and #12. Tries continued with Dr. Warde being set free on a 20 meter run off Marcus on his inside after winning our lineout. After a sluggish start to the second half that included a Miami try, we settled down with Andrew M. giving a Jeremy King-like dummy to air and then finishing with a 15 meter try. Kevin B. then had 65 meter jaunt after attacking a gap in the opposing backline. Ken D. gave support and was set free by an unselfish Tom N. for the final try. Brian W. converted on 3 of the 6 tries and also added 2 of 3 penalty kick attempts to the narrow uprights.

The Naples Hammerheads stated their intentions for the spring by overcoming the Miami Tridents in a preseason friendly match.
